Footballer Jamie O'Hara attacked a 14-year-old boy after falling for a fake handshake prank.
O'Hara, 31, a former Premier League footballer who now plays for non-league side Billericay Town, assaulted his victim as he left the pitch following a defeat.
The teenager, who can't be named, claims the attack happened after he pulled his hand away instead of shaking the midfielder's hand.
Reality TV star O'Hara, who played for Tottenham, Portsmouth and Fulham, admitted assault by beating but denied punching his victim in the face, saying he "lashed out" because a fan spat at him.
He was fined £400, and ordered to pay pay the boy £50 compensation, costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £40.
