Illegal aliens allowed in Guilford County high school held a rally demanding that they be eligible for a scholarship program that gives free tuition to in-state colleges and universities.
The scholarship program, ‘Say Yes To Education’, is currently offered to residents of North Carolina if students meet the requirements, among them is being a U.S. citizen. And even though the students are in the country illegally, they feel the scholarship should be afforded to them.
“Why is it that that it’s different with me?” Araceli Garcia-Garnica said who is an illegal alien. “Why is it that one simple piece of paper matters to them so much?”
