Woman Calls 911 and Then Threatens and Throws Rock at Officer

On December 11, 2018 around 6:47 PM, Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service at the 500 block of Cape Coral Pkwy E in reference to a report of an individual requesting an ambulance.

The individual called into 9-1-1 but did not provide much more detail. The 9-1-1 caller was later identified as Jessica C. Blick (W/F, DOB: 08/01/1981, 3518 SE 17th Ave).

Blick was eventually determined to be at 340 Cape Coral Parkway E (Family Dollar) walking on the sidewalk with a large piece of concrete in one of her hands and the other holding a cellular telephone.

The first officer on scene made contact with Blick trying to talk to her to determine if she was the one who had called 9-1-1.

As the officer spoke to Blick she continued to move around and did not answer the officer. Concerned for Blick’s welfare the officer continued to try to communicate and directed her numerous times to drop the “rock”.

Blick continued to disregard the officer and was able to see another officer approaching her from behind. Blick then drew back the piece of concrete like she was going to throw it at the first officer while saying that she was going to kill him.

The first officer ducked away as the second officer moved up and Blick ran into the roadway of Cape Coral Pkwy E.

The first officer drew his TASER and discharged both cartridges in an attempt to gain control but the probes missed Blick.

She went back onto the sidewalk and drew back the piece of concrete again but this time actually threw it at the second officer.

The piece of concrete struck the second officer in the shoulder. That officer ran toward Blick and was able to force her to the ground and into some nearby bushes.

Blick continued to resist officers from taking her into custody by pulling and twisting away from both officers. Eventually, officers were able to subdue Blick and secure her in handcuffs.

After Blick was secured in handcuffs, she rolled over and kicked the original officer in the thigh and groin.

Blick continued to kick at the officer to which the other officer utilized his O.C. spray to gain her compliance to stop acting in an aggressive manner.

After the O.C. spray was deployed, Blick's aggression stopped almost immediately. Blick was transported to a local hospital by request of officers.

Blick was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault on a LEO, Battery on a LEO, and Resisting Arrest with Violence. She was later transferred to Lee County Jail.

Armed police shoot thug waving SAMURAI SWORD

THIS is the shocking moment that cops shot a man waving a "samurai sword" in a busy street.

Armed police were called to confront 50-year-old John Taylor who was seen waving the giant blade outside shops on Saturday in Basildon, Essex.

Armed officers shot Taylor with a baton gun - which fires non-lethal circular plastic rounds - after a tense stand-off in front of shoppers.

The shocking incident was caught on a CCTV camera at the Costcutter shop and shows two armed police officers confronting Taylor outside the row of shops.

He unsheathes the sword as the cops approach while the cops shout for him to drop the weapon.

But he stands firm with the blade held high in the air as bystanders watch the drama unfold.

Taylor is then shot with the baton gun, causing him to collapse to the ground in agony before being quickly seized by cops.

The video also records the sword being picked up by officers inside the cordon, which was set up around the local pharmacy.

A shop worker close to the incident was told by police to lock the door for safety reasons.

Rupan Shan said: "We saw a guy outside with a big sword and we called the police straight away.

"We were told to lock up the shop by police so for our customers' safety we locked them inside too.

"There was a 10-year old boy in the shop at the time but he seemed quite calm.

"We were all so shocked to see what we saw. We watched out the window as it happened.

"The police shouted at him to drop the knife but he ignored them.

"I have worked here for three years and never seen anything like this before.

"The whole incident lasted about 20 minutes but when the police got here it was over in three minutes."

Looters break into Apple store during yellow vest protests

A French 'Yellow Vest' protester had his hand blown off after reportedly trying to pick up a grenade in Bordeaux while a woman in Paris lost an eye during violent clashes last night.

The device detonated when the man tried to pick it up in order to throw it back, the city's deputy public prosecutor Olivier Etienne confirmed, Sud Ouest reports.

But no further details have been released about the man's identity or his current condition.

The man can be seen running towards the camera holding up the bleeding stump at the end of his right arm in a graphic video, which has since been removed from Facebook.

Another video was later posted by France3 Aquitaine that showed the man on a stretcher being loaded into an ambulance by paramedics.

Dashcam video shows crash with police car

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Attorneys for a wrong-way driver say an Arizona Department of Public Safety sergeant who used his vehicle as a traffic break is to blame for a crash on Interstate 40 that sent both of them to the hospital.

The driver, 32-year-old Patricia Carvalho, has been indicted on 17 charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated DUI and endangerment. The Los Ranchos, New Mexico, woman had a suspended driver’s license and a blood-alcohol content of more than four times Arizona’s legal limit for driving when she was spotted going the wrong way in Flagstaff, according to court documents.

Sgt. Paul Damgaard used his unmarked, white patrol vehicle as a traffic break. Its emergency lights were flashing as he swerved side to side to slow down traffic before coming to a stop in the middle of three lanes on Nov. 17. In a dash camera video captured by another motorist, Carvalho’s vehicle turns in from an outside lane, hitting Damgaard’s vehicle.

DPS said Damgaard likely saved the lives of other drivers. At least three people called to report that Carvalho was driving recklessly or the wrong way, according to a statement of probable cause.

Sick phonecall from teen bomb hoaxer pretending 'daughter' was on 'hijacked' plane

George Duke-Cohan, 19, caused chaos with his mass hoax campaign in March this year which saw him jailed for three years.

The teen was convicted for reporting a plane from the UK to San Francisco had been hijacked, triggering a major security scare when it landed.

He also sent thousands of emails to schools, colleges and nurseries across the UK and America warning that bombs had been planted in classrooms.

In a recording of one of the phone calls which was made while a plane was in the air, he takes on the persona of a worried father.

During the call he claims his daughter contacted him from the flight to say it had been hijacked by gunmen, one of whom had a bomb.

On arrival in San Francisco the plane was the subject of a significant security operation in a quarantined area of the airport.
