A mum 'wrangles' a shark during her morning swim and throws it out of a beachside rock pool to huge cheers in this astonishing footage. It was, real estate agent Melissa Hatheier claimed, just what she does in the office - relocating things needing a new home. Melissa - now dubbed the "Shark Wrangler" by colleagues - went for a swim in the pool in the beachside suburb of Cronulla on Sydney's southside. However, the swim was soon disrupted when her mum noticed a fin in the water while swimming with her group of friends and yelled "Oh my god, get out - there's a shark!" Video shot by Melissa's daughter shows the mum fearless of the shark - swimming almost over it in the pool.
A 'mutant' cow with a fifth leg growing out of its back has been discovered in China. Astonishing footage shows the animal's fully formed trotter flopping around as the cow eats in a barn in Zhanjiang, China. In the video, taken on September 24, the cameraman even picks up the animal's extra limb and shakes it back and forth to prove it is in fact fully attached. The cow has now reportedly become a tourist attraction in the town, after memorised people flocked to see it's extra leg.
We were one of the first cars at the sighting but the road quickly filled with cars, as it tends to do in Kruger with an amazing sighting. At this point, we were running very late for breakfast with family friends but my parents' philosophy, is and always will be, that if we encounter an incredible sighting then breakfast and friends and family can wait. After maybe half an hour at the sighting, a young male lion approached a car at the sighting and it was much to my younger brother and my amusement. We were laughing and joking that the lion would scratch the paint or in some way damage the vehicle. I had been filming the entire interaction but wasn’t prepared for what I captured thereafter. In the midst of our childish jokes, there was an almighty bang and the lion investigating the car ran off in fright. It took a second to register what had happened but once we had, the intensity of laughter tripled. We laughed and laughed and only after a monumental giggling session did we realised that perhaps this situation was not so funny for occupants of the affected vehicle. We then went over to investigate and offer a helping hand. To my shock and horror, one of the people in the now three-wheeled car was a prefect at my school, an older cool boy who I otherwise would never have interacted with outside of a school context. Once the shock had faded, my dad began helping to change the tyre. We made sure we were as far away from the lions as a flat tyre could manage. The tyre changing went as smoothly as could be expected in such a setting and we managed to make it to breakfast no more than 3 and a half hours late and with an additional three people.
A man was gored to death in a field during a recent bull-running event in Mexico. The horrific incident took place at The Fiesta del Toro Revolao, which was held in a farmer's field near the town of Valfermoso de Tajuna, in the central Spanish province of Guadalajara. There was no segregation between the audience and the bull meaning dozens of audience members were exposed on a low hill nearby. Others sat on the roof of a farm building. A man flaps a jumper at the bull causing it sprint towards him while a colleague performs an impressive somersault over the running beast. Ignoring the colleague, the bull, one of two bought for this year’s Fiesta del Toro Revolao, continues to chase the first man and ploughs horns-first into the crowd.

A man shoots his neighbour’s poodle with an arrow - then pulls it out to shoot the animal again before dragging its dead carcass along a busy street. The man can be seen following around the snow-white toy poodle in footage as it hobbles helplessly on the pavement. Just out of camera shot, the man appears to yank out the same arrow before aiming and firing it at the poor dog a second time. Alternative CCTV angles show him carrying the dead animal’s carcass through a zebra crossing. The dog’s owner, who chose not to be named, said he went searching for traffic camera footage when his poodle of seven years failed to come home one night like it always does. Shockingly, nobody stops the suspect as he shoots the dog, the video shows. And he is also ignored afterwards when he carries the pooch’s carcass in his hand through busy streets filled with pedestrians and motorists. The owner said that what he saw sickened him, but it helped him eventually track down his poodle, which had been discarded in a waste bin by the bow and arrow shooter. The incident occurred in Fuzhou City, capital of East China’s Fujian Province.
A woman has been charged with animal cruelty and had her tiny puppy taken away after horrifying CCTV showed her attacking the dog. Keevonna Wilson was about to take her Shih-Tzu puppy Chastity for a walk when they got into a lift at their block of flats. As the lift door shuts, Ms Wilson, 24, launches an attack on the defenceless animal. She repeatedly kicks the dog after trapping him in a corner, before the lift door opens and she walks out with the little dog racing behind to catch up. The incident happened in Miami, in the USA in September and the Miami-Dade Animal Services removed Chastity. Their veterinarian’s examination notes say Chastity was frightened at first, then became “friendly and easy to examine”. However the dog had “Contusions bilaterally in abdominal area, contusions bilaterally in pinnae, pain upon palpation of lumbar spine and abdomen”. WPLG in Miami reported that Chastity was taken to a foster home. Wilson was released on a $5,000 (about £3,800) bond.
This is definitely one way to end a protest, and the police seemed to agree.A video of bees recently attacking protesters and police in Kenya has emerged, leaving some saying they were “progressive” for breaking a standoff. This is the hilarious moment a would-be thief is nearly rumbled by a pack of chihuahuas. CCTV shows a car passing an open garage before a man nervously approaches, checks the coast is clear, and helps himself to some tools and a leafblower. The red Chevrolet Equinox then returns and parks up, before a woman clad in jeans and a tight-fitting top climbs out and grabs herself some more loot. But then, as she goes back for another round, she’s forced to abandon her raid by a trio of barking chihuahuas whose owner follows close behind. Police in the US city of Dallas, Texas, were offering a potential reward of up to $5,000 (£3,740). They were seeking information to catch the duo seen on tape. A pair of surfers had a lucky escape after two gigantic killer whales were spotted swimming just feet away during a Norwegian surfing competition. Footage shot from the shore initially shows competitors in the Lofoten Masters riding the waves in the icy waters of northern Norway. But spectators quickly spot two black fins poking menacingly out of the water, swimming alarmingly close to the competitors. One surfer , wearing a red wetsuit, spots the enormous creatures and begins to wave frantically for help as they circle the helpless pair. He then turns around and paddles desperately away from the deadly animals, and thankfully both surfers escape unharmed. It is rare, but not unheard-of, to see the mammals swimming so close to the shore.

An ox crazily knocked down five pedestrians before being shot dead by police on Saturday in Xingning City of south China's Guangdong Province. The ox was transported from out of the city. It got rid of the rope and ran away immediately after getting off the truck. Surveillance video shows five pedestrians were knocked down by the escaping ox. One female victim sustained three broken ribs while other four victims got minor injuries. Local police rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the report. They later found the ox in the south of the city, but it rushed into the forest and disappeared after realizing there were people around. To prevent the ox from hurting more people, police and village officials conducted a comprehensive search in the area and finally found it in an old house in Diaofang Town. The customer's name and the exact location of the restaurant are unclear.
Meanwhile In Russia:
Video has emerged from India of Bengal tigers attacking and injuring a white tiger at a biological park.
An undercover report has exposed a shocking trend in a Chinese city, which sees pet owners sending their dogs to street vets to have their vocal cords removed to stop them from barking.
Horrifying pictures and videos have emerged which show one unlicensed vet, in south-west China, performed devocalisation operations on dozens of dogs in the street as his assistant forced open the mouths of the animals.
The news has sparked an outrage among the public as people and animal lovers called the procedure ‘unnecessary’ and ‘cruel’.
The undercover report, by Chengdu Business Daily, claimed that the vet, known with a surname Zeng, had been running his business at a flower and bird market in Qingbaijiang district of Chengdu since September 14.
Mr Zeng can be seen setting his booth at the side of a road. His equipment, displayed on a folding table, included a thong, a torch, cotton wool balls and tourniquets.
A disturbing video shows a white Pomeranian being injected anaesthetics into its front limb.
Mr Zeng then put a thong into the dog’s mouth and cut off its vocal cords while his assistant held the canine’s mouth wide open with the help of two red strings.
The devocalisation operation ended as Zeng threw the vocal cords out on the floor and took the white dog aside.
