As far as attacks ago, this crocodile's attempt to take down two baby hippos from under the noses of a 30-strong herd definitely has to go down as a tad overambitious. Video footage showed how the reptile was left instantly regretting its decision after it found itself in the middle of the group which then took it in turns to exact revenge. The hippos manage to evict the crocodile to the edge of the circle before one takes it in its jaws and dumps it in the water. Animal welfare officers from the RSPCA are appalled at the footage and have launched an investigation into the incident. The charity's assistant director of inspectorate Dermot Murphy said he was concerned the black and white cat may have suffered severe injuries. He said: "It is completely unacceptable to treat a cat in this way and it could well have suffered some severe injuries from such a brutal kick. "We understand that such acts of cruelty can be very upsetting and emotive, and we would urge anyone who does recognise the culprit or the area to pass the information onto us, and not be tempted to act on it themselves." Anyone with information can call the RSPCA emergency telephone line on 0300 1234 999.

However, after a few moments the handler manages to bring the bear back under control, pulling hard on the rope around its muzzle as it tries to run away and then forcing it to continue on with the act. The bear continues to perform, including pushing a bicycle around the stage and walking backwards on its hind legs, before being led off the stage in the city of Syktyvkar in western Russia.
